A charming pair of Louis XV style chest of drawers commode from the first half of the 20th century.

Constructed from top grade solid wood, exquisitely hand-crafted, the artisan using old world techniques of tongue and groove, mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery to create this beautiful and long lasting 18th century antique reproduction.

Finished in luxurious Rocco taste, having a shapely bombe (bombay) form case fitted with three spacious drawers, each with beautifully curved serpentine shaped drawer front adorned in sophisticatled contrasting marquetry inlays framed by intricate cross-band inlays, affixed with brass fiolate scroll pulls; flanked by ornate brass ormolu mounts, exuberant scrolling foliate floral marquetry sides, gracefully rising on French bracket feet terminating in ornate sabots; topped with the original fitted verde antico green white veined marble top.
