Gorgeous gilded or antique gold finished faux bois iron coffee table in chinoiserie or Hollywood Regency style with tole painted metal tray style top. In fabulous vintage condition, circa 1990.
This stunning gilt iron faux bois coffee table features a double curved x-base, double corner faux bois legs, and a beautiful tole painted curvaceous tray style top. The top is painted in a rather faux leather finish with a central stylized flower design and gold leaf and flower vines in the black border around the outer edge. Similar style coffee tables have been attributed to Dennis and Leen; or Maitland Smith however, this one has no marking or tag. They have also been called chinoiserie and Hollywood Regency and French in style. You be the judge. Whatever the style and whoever the maker, this is an outstanding coffee table that is as grand in presence as it is in size. You need this in your life and your home!
